Creating Dre | Swarm
Transforming Dominique Fishback into Dre was one of my favorite creative challenges. Donald Glover knew he wanted the character to identify as a man by the end of the story, but I felt cornrows alone were too predictable. I developed a more intentional look, created a digital concept before AI made visualization commonplace, and presented the transformation to Donald Glover and Janine Nabers. Seeing that vision come to life is what I love most about creating characters.
